CRANE SAFARI AT A GLANCE

The Crane Trust opened its doors to a new form of eco-tourism with great success in 2013 by hosting a Crane Safari for a sponsoring organization. The Crane Safari offers a one-of-a-kind adventure on rare Crane Trust lands which includes three days of spectacular crane viewing and related activities with two nights lodging for 8-16 guests at the Crane Trust’s private Legacy Cabins situated on 4,500 beautiful acres of native tallgrass prairie and wetland meadows. Each experience is unique, designed to foster positive, lifelong connections to one of the greatest wildlife phenomena in North America.

The Crane Safari is available to organizations looking to provide a unique experience for their customers/members and includes guides, lodging, meals, crane viewing, nature programs & social activities. In addition to spectacular crane viewing on the river at sunrise and sunset, guests choose from a variety of activities to enrich their experience during the day, including guided prairie hikes to learn about the ecology of the surrounding habitat and wildlife. Another popular daytime option includes an SUV back-road tour of cranes dancing/feeding on neighboring farmlands and up-close viewing of our genetically pure American bison herd.
