Cyclists from across the state come to the Crane Trust Nature and Visitor Center to participate in the Buffalo Stampede bike ride. The inaugural ride took place in June 2018 as part of the Crane Trust's 40th anniversary celebration. Around 80 cyclists participated in the 10-mile, 35-mile or 45-mile course ride.
During the inaugural ride, there was 25 volunteers helping who were both out on the race course and at one of the eight SAG (support and gear) stations throughout the course. "It was a fun ride with a well marked course. Good sags and support," said Jodi Halm, one of the riders. Richard Finch agreed, "Great ride. Great support. Looking forward to next year."
