“Insights into the landscape through natural history research—Prairie fires are to Swainson’s Hawks what cottonwood savannas are to North American beavers” by Andrew Caven, Lead Biologist at the Crane Trust

Join us at the Crane Trust Nature and Visitor Center as Andrew Caven, Lead Biologist at the Crane Trust, presents his research on the relationship between fires and Swainson’s hawks and how that compares to the relationship between cottonwoods and beavers. Bringing a dish to share is optional but enjoying the company of other nature enthusiasts is a guarantee. If you cannot make our August potluck, look for information on our next potluck held September 18 with speaker Nicole Arcilla, Lead Scientist at the Crane Trust or our October potluck, speaker to be determined.
