Crane Viewing

Guided Blind Tours

Guided Blind Tours

2.5 Hours, $50 per person (+ Tax & Booking Fees)

After a short presentation, a guide will accompany you to one of our riverfront viewing blinds on the Platte River. Blind tours are offered in the early morning while the cranes are roosting on the river, and also in the evening when the birds are returning to the river to roost for the night.

Join us to marvel at the spectacle of thousands of cranes and other birds roosting on the Platte River here in Nebraska. Our tour guides are eager to share their knowledge of the Great Sandhill Crane Migration at the Crane Trust Nature & Visitor Center before you depart for the riverfront blind. The blinds are situated on the banks of the Platte River. This experience runs for about two and a half hours and ends shortly after sunset.

Participants must be able to walk up to five minutes over uneven grassy terrain to reach the blind. Children must be 12 and over and be accompanied by an adult.

BECOME A MEMBER TO BOOK EARLY. Members can make their tour reservations starting in December and non-members in January. All proceeds from crane viewing experiences at Crane Trust contribute significantly to our year-round habitat maintenance efforts.

Thanks for joining us!
