Spring is in the air, Go Big Give is happening, and the Prairie Chickens are dancing! To celebrate, we are inviting you to a special public Virtual Prairie Chicken Tour, this Thursday during Go Big Give! We hope you will join us for a look at the Prairie Chickens here on Crane Trust habitat at 6:30 am - 7:30 am for the morning edition, and at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm for the evening edition. All times listed as Central Time!

Every year, these amazing birds perform an elaborate courtship ritual as they dance, jump, bow, and vocalize on the lek. The male birds compete head to head with their "booming displays" as females look on. The Greater Prairie Chickens are as active as ever, and we want to share this annual event with you.
Our guided Virtual Prairie Chicken Lek Tours combine live virtual cameras on the lek with select imagery from fieldwork. We will also discuss Prairie Chicken facts, habitats and natural history. Additionally, we will take a little time to show you footage of other activities happening around Crane Trust this time of year.
