We counted a bias-corrected 64,460+/-5,340 Sandhill Cranes in the Central Platte River Valley on 13 April 2020. Over 90% of the cranes were counted between Buda (5 mi E of Kearney) and Gibbon, Nebraska, with the rest scattered in the broader reach between Elm Creek and Wood River, Nebraska (none detected E of Wood River). Our final aerial survey of 2020 will likely be conducted next Monday pending weather (20 April).
